Transitioning Out Of A Swaddle

I get asked many times, my baby is 2-4 mos old and keeps breaking out of swaddle, should I stop swaddling? A good transition for babies that are strong, and those babies that are getting stronger, that consistently break out of the swaddle waking up in the middle of the night because of their arm that got free, is a swaddle sleep sack called Love To Dream Swaddle Up - 50/50 . Why I like this transition swaddle sleep sack, is one, when they may have a random wake up, you don't have to go in and re-swaddle because their arms can't get free. It's snug around the waist and chest, so your baby still feels swaddle and their arms are in a natural position. Once your baby gets used to this swaddle, and reaches 4 mos or earlier, you can unzip the arms to transition into a sleep sack. Around 4 months of age, babies gain more motor control of their limbs and don't tend to wake themselves with startling movements from their arms or legs. They also learn to roll over, so it is wise to have arms free once they learn to roll over.
